12.00 – 17.00      Easter to June: Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays


                              June, July and September: Sundays, Bank Holiday Mondays and



                              August: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays


                              October: Sundays and Bank Holidays

                                       We may also be open during the Autumn half-term holiday ie on Wednesday 23rd October (tbc)


Last admission to the museum is at 4.30pm


Admission charge: 

Adults – £2       Children – 50p      Under 5’s – Free

We regret we cannot accept credit cards

The Museum is located at Landguard Point, adjacent to the Dock Viewing Area, where there is ample free parking. The scheduled hourly Number 77 bus service from Ipswich via Felixstowe to Landguard will deliver you to our gates. You can also reach us by the foot ferry from Harwich and Shotley. The Museum is also on Cycle Route 51 , which takes you along the seafront and across Landguard Common. Those feeling energetic may like to take in the sea breeze and walk to the Museum along Felixstowe’s beautiful promenade. The Museum is 2.5 miles from the town centre.

The nearest public toilets may be found at the Landguard Visitor Centre adjacent to the John Bradfield Viewing Area.
