Fantabulous Felixstowe Museum is open!
There’s so much to see and do at the museum this year. Throughout the season you can revisit (or visit?) the 1980s, the decade that brought us the mullet hairstyle, shoulder pads, shell suits, leg warmers, ‘Shaddap You Face’ and ‘The Empire Strike Back’ – and also Felixstowe Museum! We first opened our doors in 1982.
For more information check out this year’s new exhibition, as featured on BBC Look East: Frankie goes to Felixstowe
There’s also a new trail for all the family – The Race for Space – and this will run until the end of October. Our other special events, for children and adults alike, are listed below and to find out about our new exhibitions check out What’s new in ’22?
Stop Press: We’ve added Saturdays to the days we are open and can now offer a Weekend Joint Ticket deal with Landguard Fort. For details, follow this link Opening hours & admissions
The office continues to be open four days a week for enquiries and research. Contact us by email or phone.
Also coming up this season: there are also lots of great activities on the Landguard Peninsula this year. Look below or check out Landguard Events 2022 for a complete listing.
Our evening talks (held in conjunction with the Felixstowe Family History Society) have now returned to our normal venue, Broadway House in Orwell Rd, Felixstowe, meeting on the second Wednesday of the month. Be sure to check the details below as some of these may be offered by Zoom. All welcome.
