Fantabulous Felixstowe Museum to open its doors again
Felixstowe Museum welcomes you back with some new features and a COVID secure route – follow the coloured footprints to maintain space and stay safe.
Opening on the 30th May ‘Last Stop Felixstowe Pier’: The advent of the railway in Felixstowe is our new display on the coming of the railway to Felixstowe. Did you know that when the Town station opened on the 1 July 1898 the Third class fare to Pier Station was 4d (about 2p)! Come and see our genuine ticket from that day alongside many other fascinating facts.
We are also pleased to announce our new learning trail suitable for children aged 8 years and above in conjunction with the Children’s University. Why do you think Felixstowe telephone numbers only used to have had three digits?
Our evening talks, normally held at Broadway House (Orwell Road) in conjunction with Felixstowe Family History Society, are now taking place via Zoom. Find details of these great talks below.
Once it is safe to do so we intend to return to our normal venue, meeting on the second Wednesday of the month.
