Our COVID-19 safety measures at the museum from 19th July 2021
Felixstowe Museum is still officially accredited by the We’re Good to Go industry standard, given by VisitEngland to businesses that are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance on cleanliness and social distancing, and have clear processes in place for our volunteers and staff to follow to protect us all.
For the continued safety of our visitors and volunteers we are maintaining our existing social distancing and other mitigation measures until further notice. This follows the recommendations from Government, advice from industry bodies and consultation with volunteers.
If you wish to visit Felixstowe Museum, we require you to:
- Wear a facemask when inside the museum if you are able. If you wish to exempt yourself from wearing a facemask then that is your choice, and we will provide you with an NHS exemption badge free of charge, which we prefer you wear while visiting, to avoid confusion.
- Not visit the Museum if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have any symptoms (Note that the symptoms for different variants can differ).
We are confident that these measures continue to be the best course of action and we commend our volunteers for their support and dedication and thank our visitors for their consideration.
Do not hesitate to contact us should you require details of the arrangements and precautions which have remained in place.
