Military, archaeology and social history

Felixstowe Museum's permanent collections house military objects and tells the story from Henry VIII to the second Elizabethan age.

Our archaeology collections describe life from the Palaeolithic to 1st and 4th century Roman finds, all the way up to Medieval coins, all found on our doorstep.

We also delve into social history, showing the way people have lived in Felixstowe through different points in history.

Most recently this includes our Frankie goes to Felixstowe Exhibition: giving younger visitors a chance to experience the day-glo splendour of Felixstowe in the 1980s - pirate radio and all!
